National Stadium Karachi is the largest cricket stadium in Pakistan. This stadium can compensate almost 35,000 spectators. National Stadium Karachi was built in 1955, in the start, this stadium was like old stadium without having shades for spectators. This stadium gets renovated and becomes an epicenter of cricket for Pakistan. Gaddafi Stadium Lahore is the second largest stadium of Pakistan. These two powerhouses of Pakistan cricket carries the burden of international matches in Pakistan for many years. National Stadium Karachi has floodlights and counts as a high scoring ground with batting favoring pitch and fast outfield. Because of its location, Karachi always offers pleasant playing conditions. Wind from sea always blows heavily that helps fast bowlers to get swing early on. The last match played before the terrorist attack was back in 2009, test match between Pakistan and Srilanka which is famous for Younis Khan 313. Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has announced that PSL 3 final is going to take place in this stadium. For that National Stadium, Karachi is now getting a makeover, the government has released funds of 1.5 billion for the renovation of this stadium.
